Located near Alpilles, Domaine Milan was created by Robert Milan, in 1956.
In 1984, his son Henri took over. The land was used for conventional farming methods back then, this was one of the big changes that Henri made when he took over. The land had been spoiled by excessive synthetic chemical treatments during the 1970s and early 1980s, so it was at this point that Milan moved towards organic production.
Since 2014, when Théo, Henri's son, and his wife Nathalie have joined the estate, they have been using no chemicals, no additives, no commercial yeasts and, in some cases, no added sulphur.
